The Spice Shack of Sun Valley was created to ELEVATE your cooking and dining pleasure!!!! Courtney, the owner and spice blend master, first wrote a cookbook called River Food, then started selling custom teas and gourmet small-batch spice blends at her local farmer’s market. The spice business has grown to dream-like sales and is now sharing stage with her cookbook
For the past 30+ years, I have been guiding, rafting, fishing, and cooking on the rivers of Idaho. Prior to that, I ran a lunch camp along the Upper Salt River in Arizona, mixing rafting and food from the start. My mom owned a restaurant and catering company, and I have been cooking and working in restaurants my whole life. Over many years I have adapted and perfected my own creations to serve to my guests; the best of my recipes are included in River Food. However, the stars of River Food are my dear friends: my fellow guides and the outfitters of Idaho’s Middle Fork and Main Salmon Rivers. The Spice Shack of Sun Valley was born out of River Food Cookbook, and years of loving spice shops and foods of different cultures. I started with the River Rub blend and now have created over 20 inspired gourmet spice blends, infused slats and sugars, tea blends, and more. Great ingredients in balance with no fillers or preservatives.

The Spice Shack of Sun Valley tracks every ingredient sustainably to the source. Most of the herbs and flowers used are grown locally and dried fresh. No silicones, or dioxides in any of our blends!
